When virtual reality goes mainstream, expect Wevr to be at the epicenter of the nascent technology revolution. Working out of their offices in Venice, CA, Wevr is more than just a VR content company, they're aim is to produce their own content and distrubution.
Take in the title in for a moment. Hulking rigid steel gravity coasters, which are know to give riders the willies for their steep climbs, fast drops, and extreme g-forces, are now being outfitted with virtual reality goggles...because coasters need to be scarier and more menacing than they already are. This was bound to happen.
Oculus is now accepting pre-orders for the long-in-development Oculus Rift virtual reality goggles. Priced at a $599 USD, the Oculus Rift is not something anyone should plan to buy without doing some due diligence.
